Trekking : 7 Day Mountain Trek Sirwa Summit :

- Day 1: Arrival Marrakech .

You will be met by your guide at the airport and transferred to your Riad in the central Medina. Depending on time of arrival, a tour of the souks and central Medina could be arraigned. Or you can just relax on the terrace and enjoy the sun. Your Riad hosts will be happy to make a supper reservation for you at a local restaurant or in house if available.

- Day 2 : Marrakech - Tamllakout (1650m)

After breakfast at your Riad you will be picked up by your guide for the transfer via the Tizi N-TichkaPass(2260m) of the High Atlas mountains. In the afternoon you will arrive at the village of Tamlakkout, where you will be hosted for the night by aAmazigh family. Afternoon hike, to explore the village and local area.Supper with your hosts.

- Day 3 : Tamllakout (1650m) - Ait Tigga (1950m)

Breakfast with host family. After loading the mules you will follow the OuedTamlkkoutriver bed. You will be required to carry a day pack with your water and any other necessities. We will be climbing a desert plateau in the direction of the Sirwa summit, crossing saffron fields as we climb. Arrival at your bivouac near the village of Ait Tigga(1950m). 5 hours of hiking approx. Supper prepared by your guides.

- Day 4 : Ait Tigga (1950m) - Azib N-Mdist (2287m)

Breakfast in camp. Visit an ancient Grainery of the Village D'AitTigga. Hike through several Berber Villages: Idoughar and Ait Ighmour(2200m). After scaling the TachanchtPass(2700m), we descend to our bivouac at the foot of the Summit of Sirwa for the night, near the village of Azib N-Mdist(2287m). 6 hours 30 minutes of hiking approx. Supper prepared by your guides.

- DAY 5: Mdist (2287m) – Summit of Sirwa (3305m) - Iriri (2300m)

We will leave behind the desert and follow our route to the north east, crossing again the High Atlas mountains. We will pass by the huge palm groves, oasis and ancient cities built in adobe (Kasbahs). They are incredible. Our next destination will be Azrou, a Berber village surrounded by a massive cedar forests with many lakes and home of the Barbary Apes. These apes are found here and on the island of Gibraltar only. This area receives more rainfall that anywhere else in Morocco. An extreme contrast with the desert landscape left behind earlier in the day. We will arrive to Fez at 6 o’clock approximately where you will be dropped at your riad or hotel by your guide.

- DAY 6: Irriri (2300m) – Amassine (1730m)

Breakfast in camp, before your descent to the beautiful green valley and goat and sheep herding fields of Aziouane. Passing through the magnificent gorges of D'Amassine, our path will take us through fields and by ancient grana (2287m)Igries. At the village of D'Amassine(1730m) we will have supper and spend the night with a Berber family. 6 hours of hiking.

- DAY 7: Marrakech Airport)

Breakfast with host family followed by pick up for the return journey to Marrakech. Visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. Ancient stopover of the camel trains of the far east, trading silk, salt and spices. Also the location of many recent films such as Gladiator and The Mummy. A visit to the Kasbah of GlaouiTelouet before the drive over the Tizi N-Tichkapass(2660m) to arrive in the afternoon at the Marrakech Airport or your Riad.
